DriveCrypt Plus Pack

The Problem

Every year thousands of notebooks are stolen. The impacts of confidential data getting out to public domains are often disastrous. Almost every computer contains sensitive data that must be protected against unauthorized and illegitimate access no matter whether this information is of corporate or private nature. If such confidential information becomes public, this can result in a compliance violation, financial loss, or litigation.

The Solutions

DCPP (DriveCrypt Plus Pack) is an easy and most powerful solution for data protection. DCPP can encrypt 100% of your computer, so that only you can access your personal data while the computer is inaccessible for anybody else.

DCPP provides real-time “on the fly” 256 bit encryption. While data is read from the hard disk, DCPP automatically decrypts it into the memory and when saved automatically re-encrypts it back to the disk.

Easy To Use

Hard Disk Encryption

Simply select the drive(s) you wish to protect and let the program protect them.

Pre-Boot Authentication

Whenever you start your computer, you will be asked to enter your secure password. Once entered, your hard disk is encrypted in real-time and the operating system boots as usual.

Complete Transparency

Just use your computer as you always do. You will not notice the security software.

  • Boot protection.
  • Full or partial hard disk encryption.
  • AES 256 bit encryption.
  • Sector-level encryption.
  • Can hide an entire operating system.
  • Power-off protection preventing, for example, unauthorized users from starting up the PC.
  • Trojan and keyboard sniffer protection preventing passwords from being sniffed/captured.
  • Encryption of “hibernation” and “disk dump” files.
  • Mechanism against brute force attacks.
  • Encrypts almost any kind of media (hard disk, floppy drive, ZIP, JAZ, etc.).
  • USB token authentication at pre-boot level (recognizes Rainbow and Aladdin).

Centralized Administration through Management Console

DriveCrypt Plus Pack is easy and quick to install and offers centralized administration of the entire company using a central console. The console allows a rollout over the network without end-user involvement.

Administrators can manage different PCs and users (import users, manage profiles, encrypt or decrypt remote computers, manage access rights, reset passwords, etc.). In addition, users can be grouped in a hierarchical structure. Each component can be controlled from a single server.

Transparent operation and truly user-proof

DriveCrypt Plus Pack Enterprise provides for easy enforcement of a company-wide security policy. It operates transparently in the background, so end-users don't have to undergo training or alter their work behaviors.

Import users from active directory

User lists can be quickly and easily created or imported from the active directory.

Complex password policy enforcement

Complex password policies can easily be enforced for the entire company.

Remote user password recovery

Forgotten user passwords can be remotely recovered. Users can be authenticated with a challenge response procedure.

External hardware control at pre-boot level

DriveCrypt Plus Pack Enterprise can be used with external hardware devices such as USB tokens (i.e. Rainbow iKey or Aladdin eToken) at pre-boot level. This allows for a two-level authentication.

Administration of user specific rights

DriveCrypt Plus Pack Enterprise enables administrators to administer the rights of every individual user within the network. Each user gets his level of access, depending on his access rights. The user can be restricted in time and also in terms of the value of information.

Protection against unauthorized access

DriveCrypt Plus Pack Enterprise is very comfortable. All data are encrypted, but are visible and accessible for authorized users (after log-in, users can access the data). An unauthorized person can neither log in nor explore your status, the data, or its structure.

Single Sign-on

The Single-Sign-On functionality does away with double authentication and allows for automatic log-in after the user has authenticated at pre-boot level (supports domain environments and changing passwords).

Remote Disaster Recovery

Administrators can create a disaster recovery disk or CD to restore/recover data or decrypt a computer in the event of data loss or other operating system problems.
